If you have furniture that you want to keep, but it needs a refresh and you don’t want to spend tons of money on having the furniture reupholstered, paint it!! That’s right, paint it! This process only requires a few simple steps and you have brand new furniture! I took this antique chair from an outdated look to not only updated, but beautiful and vibrant.
Simply spray water with a misting spray to open up the fabric for the paint to absorb. Secondly, paint the fabric. I used painters tape, just to make sure I did not get paint on the wood. After you paint, let it dry completely and once it is dry, sand it with a 220 grit sandpaper to keep the fabric supple. Make sure to wipe the particles with a cloth. That’s it and repeat for the second coat! After you let the second coat dry, spray on the wax to seal the paint and let it dry. You’re all done! Enjoy!
